Dr. David Tapke received his Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University, where he graduated with cum laude honors. After college, he developed an interest in public health after working as an AmeriCorps volunteer performing asthma education in the South Bronx of New York City. He went on to receive his Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. He stayed in Chicago for a pediatrics residency at Rush University Medical Center and is board certified in pediatrics. He then completed a combined adult and pediatric fellowship in allergy and immunology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH.
Dr. David is excited to return to his hometown and join Cincinnati Allergy & Asthma Center. He is committed to the practice of evidence-based medicine with an emphasis on patient-centered care and shared decision making. He lives in Hyde Park with his wife and two daughters. His personal interests include music, cooking and travel.
