Why Board Certification Matters?

Your health is important to us. Our allergy and immunology providers have undergone extensive training. All of our physicians are board certified in both allergy and immunology and in pediatrics. Our practice is affiliated with both the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI).

To become an allergy and immunology specialist, the requirements are rigorous. They include at least nine years of training beyond a bachelor’s degree. After obtaining a medical degree, physicians undergo an additional 3 years of residency training either in internal medicine or pediatrics. Then, they continue with a fellowship to specialize in allergy and immunology and must pass the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) certification exam.

All of our physicians at Cincinnati Allergy & Asthma Center meet the qualifications and are certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.
