DAVID E. TAPKE, MD, MPH

Board Certified Allergy and Clinical Immunology

Dr. David Tapke offers expert care of allergic and immunologic disorders in children and adults of all ages.  He specializes in the treatment of a broad range of disorders including food allergies, sinusitis/environmental allergies, drug allergies, asthma, recurrent infections/immune deficiencies, eczema and allergic contact dermatitis.

Dr. Tapke offers oral immunotherapy (OIT) for patients with peanut and tree nuts allergies.  He helps families safely navigate their OIT journey and tailors the treatment plan for each OIT patient’s unique needs.  Schedule an appointment today to discuss how OIT can offer protection from accidental allergies reactions and, in some cases, help the body overcome food allergies completely!

Dr. Tapke prides himself on spending adequate time with patients and focuses on active listening.  This approach allows for shared decision making that incorporates the patient’s personal beliefs, values and preferences when creating a treatment plan.  The excellent quality of care he provides to his patients has been recognized by his physician peers, who have voted him as a “Top Doctor” in Cincinnati Magazine’s annual registry.
